Often in our busy lives, we struggle to "become successful," "get things done," or "be all we can be," when in fact we cannot do it alone. Science reveals that nothing exists totally on its own - from the cells in our bodies to the stars in the cosmos. Amazingly enough, art, like science, also shows us how deeply connected we are, not only in relationship to one another, but to the things we see, touch, smell, feel, and hear every day. For the poet, a wet sponge in the kitchen sink could be a window into a richer, more spacious life!
